Honoree Nominations for 2023 Now Open
Each year, the Genesee District Library honors three individuals and one organization for their service in the community. Nominations for the 2023 Brunch will be accepted until September 30, 2022. To nominate a person or organization, please click here, and complete the nomination form. Please be as specific as possible, and give examples of the nominee’s service work. It is also helpful if nominations come from multiple people.
Created in 2002, the Black History Month Brunch is one of Genesee County’s premiere events. It provides an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the contributions of those who work to make the world a better place. The Brunch also inspires residents to reach their full potential and to make a difference in our community, state and nation. A portion of the proceeds from the event helps support the GDL’s Summer Reading Challenge, which reaches thousands of children and adults in Genesee County.
