Book Clubs and Teachers can secure multiple copies of one title for book discussion needs. Bags of Books check out for six weeks. Book Club Bag of Books have 10 copies per bag, and the K-12 Bag of Books have 30 per bag.
The Robert T. Bolo Jr. Business Center, located in the Grand Blanc-McFarlen branch of the Genesee District Library, is a source of quality business, career, investing, and other financial information. As the only full-scale Business Resource Center certified by the Michigan Small Business Development Center (MI-SBDC) in Genesee County, the center provides one-on-one assistance to entrepreneurs as they develop a business or marketing strategy.

Any Genesee County or Tyrone Township resident who is permanently or temporarily homebound can register for a Genesee District Library card and begin receiving library books in the mail at no cost. Qualified patrons can choose any book from our collection.
Genesee District Library offers several literacy kits, that can be checked out just like a book. The kits contain books and hands-on activities that go along with the theme of the kit. Our kits check out for four weeks.
The Michigan Activity Pass allows you access and discounts to parks, museums and activities across Michigan using your library card. Enter the date and location you’re interested in visiting, and get a list of attractions that you can a pass for.
You can send print jobs to any Genesee District Library branch from your phone, home computer, or any other device of your choosing. Once you come into the library, log into our kiosk to print your documents. Prints stay in the queue for 24 hours, and print in black and white.
You can digitize your old media files at the Fenton-Winegarden and the Genesee Valley Center branches using our Retro Media Stations, free of charge. Audiocassettes, VHS tapes, film reels and slides can all be digitized and saved. The stations include easy-to-follow instructions for equipment use.
There are Seed Libraries available at the Fenton-Winegarden, Forest Township and Montrose-Jennings locations from March through August. Patrons are able to take and grow seeds for free, and have the option of donating seeds at the end of the season. Seeds include vegetables, flowers and herbs.
Genesee County residents who are unable to read standard print due to visual or physical impairment may be eligible to borrow talking books through the mail postage-free. This service is made possible by the U.S. Library of Congress, National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled.
The Genesee District Library offers free Wi-Fi and desktop computers for public use at all locations. To use our Wi-fi, log into the “GDL Patron” network. No password required.
