You can register for a library card online and access our digital services without visiting a physical location. To qualify for online self-registration, you must:

Online Library Card Registration is currently down. Please visit a branch to sign up for a library card.
Just download an application for a library card, fill it out and take it to any branch of the Genesee District Library.

Homebound Registration Form: for people needing to receive materials at home. Register by calling (810) 732-1120 or download the application and send it to: Genesee District Library, Homebound Service, 4195 W. Pasadena Avenue, Flint, MI 48504.
City of Flint residents and residents outside of the Genesee District Library service area may also have the option of getting a free GDL card to check out physical items and use computers. Additionally, they have the option of paying for digital services for $10/month or $100/year.
Anyone outside GDL’s service area may purchase a non-resident card. Non-resident cards permit the holder to use all GDL materials and services with the exception of MeLCat. A non-resident card may be purchased for $10/month or $100/year.
