Black History Month Brunch - Genesee District Library

The 24th Annual Black History Month Brunch will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 @ 10am at the Genesys Conference & Banquet Center in Grand Blanc.

Tickets go on sale Monday, December 16, 2024 and are available online only.

Individual seats at that table are on a first come, first served basis.
You will receive a confirmation email, which serves as your ticket.

For future reference, each year we honor three individuals and one organization for their service in the community. Nominations for 2025 are now closed.

Each year the Genesee District Library honors three individuals and one organization for their good work in the community. The 2025 honorees are:

Mayor Sheldon Neeley
Dr. Rabon L. Turner

Partner in Progress Award
Floyd J. McCree Theatre

Nomination Deadline: September 30, 2025

Individuals or organizations can be nominated. Selected individuals will receive the GDL Award of Excellence, and selected organizations will receive the GDL Partner in Progress Award.

All nominees will be considered by the GDL Black History Month Brunch Advisory Committee. The committee is comprised of community members, and GDL staff and Board.
